Knowing when and how often to feed your baby (and now toddler) can be confusing. Get samples of a 1 year old eating schedule that work!
The 1 year old stage marks so many milestones for kids.
They can eat honey, drink cow’s milk, and are encouraged to ditch the bottles. Breast milk and formula become optional beverages in favor of solid foods for nutrition.
Should he be drinking from a cup or feeding himself? You wonder. Does he still get liquid meals at all, or do I just offer milk with solids?
And let’s not forget all the other changes, like transitioning from two naps to one, learning how to walk and talk, and even the onset of 1 year old tantrums.
With so many questions about your toddler’s life, it’s no wonder his eating schedule might look crazy just about now. And if you’re a first-time mom, you might be even more confused about everything now that your little guy has turned one.

Samples of a 1 year old eating schedule
You see, back when your little guy was an infant, you had a routine down pat, from the number of naps to the ounces of milk. Now that he’s a year old, you wonder if you should be doing things differently to accommodate his growth.
It doesn’t help that there isn’t one set schedule that applies to all babies and toddlers. This is why you’ll find kids who still drink from a bottle while others are using sippy cups. Some can feed themselves table food while others rely on spoon-fed purees.
And while your toddler will phase out milk as a meal, you wonder how other moms have structured their eating schedules with their 1 year olds.
I felt the same. That’s why I surveyed and researched several moms to see what their days look like now that their babies are toddlers. You’ll find a variety of sample schedules that can help you plan your own day. And note that below, “milk” can mean breastfeeding, formula, cow’s milk, or another dairy beverage.
