California is one of the most unique states in the country. Learn why the golden state is naturally different with everything it offers.
Did you know California produces 95% of the celery in the United States? Celery isn’t alone, either. California also produces 90% of broccoli, 99% of artichokes, and 89% of cauliflower.* Our climate, soil, and space make California one of the most unique states in the country.
This is something I take for granted living in Los Angeles. Sure, we have seasons (no peaches at the farmers markets right now!). But I have access to fresh produce year-round.
Year-round produce is just one of the many things that makes this state so unique. We have a mix of city and farm life where you can drive from busy LA to a local farm. We’ve got deserts and lakes, mountains and valleys. You can drive to the beach, look in your rear view mirror, and see snow-capped mountains.
I’ve been up and down the California coast, from Sacramento to San Diego, and there’s still so much to learn and see. It seems I’m not alone, either. Arrowhead® Brand 100% Mountain Spring Water is committed to its California heritage and has been since 1894. Started in the San Bernardino Mountains, Arrowhead has now expanded to 13 mountain springs in California, Colorado and British Colombia. Eleven of those springs are still in California.
Because of that, 80% of the water sourced in California is distributed within the state. Arrowhead helps care for the mountain springs and surrounding environments. For instance, Arrowhead has a team of field experts that monitor and care for its mountain springs, and the brand helps support the costal cleanups of California waterways.

I love buying local and supporting local economies. With over a 100 year heritage in California, Arrowhead is committed to caring for its mountain springs and surrounding environments. With all that California has to offer, I’m glad that they do.
