Before we had kids, my husband and I made it a point to visit outdoor places. We'd hike, visit the beach or bike along a pier. Living in Los Angeles, we have plenty of tourist spots for just this sort of thing. But what many don't know about are the cities surrounding LA, such as Newport Beach. Beach cities along the California coast offer amazing options, from dining to nature. My relatives live in Newport Beach, so I have an extra incentive to visit.
