The last few weeks have been rough. First, I got sick, which is weird since none of my kids were sick… yet. Because a few days later, all three of my kids did too, almost like a domino effect. And to cinch it off, my husband also got sick, complete with fever and chills.
Not only were we all sick, the last week had been crazy busy. My work hosted a Bring Your Kids to Work Day, of which I was part of the planning committee. My eldest attended his weekly swim lesson. It was also his last week at camp as well as our nanny’s last week with us (our twins will be going to preschool in a few weeks). And we visited relatives from out of town.
Yep, it’s been a crazy, busy week.
So I couldn’t be happier when I got to try vitamin drink mixes from Zarbees. They’re gluten-free, made with natural flavors and sweeteners and don’t include any drugs or alcohol. I drink them daily, either hot or cold depending on the blend. I truly believe our health relies so much on what we do to prevent getting sick and not just on patching ourselves up when we do.
My favorite is the Mixed Berry mixed in cold water. I start off every morning drinking it to make sure I get all my vitamins and my immunity is top-notch. My husband has been drinking Immune Support mixed in hot water to help him get through his cold. I keep boxes at home and at work for a quick drink packed with the vitamins I need.
Zarbees vitamin drink mixes are perfect for on-the-go as well. Fill a sports bottle with water, grab your packet of Zarbees and mix whenever you need that extra boost.
Personally, I can’t stand pills. I had a bad experience with vitamin pills in the past where I discovered I was allergic to one of the ingredients. Just when I was trying to be healthy by taking vitamins, I broke out in rashes because of one of the ingredients. Thankfully, Zarbees ingredients are all natural, like chicory root, ginger, honey and chamomile. No rashes here!
You can find Zarbees in the cough aisle in your local Target (I’ll share another post on my Target experience on September 10). The best part? They’re $4 off now until the end of September. I keep these boxes everywhere: at my desk, in my kitchen cupboard, even in my purse. It’s a great way to make sure you get all the vitamins you need for another busy day.
Your turn: How do you take your vitamins? How do you keep everyone in the family healthy? Let me know in the comments!
